Dorsey Schroeder is an American former racing driver who competed in the CART Championship Series and the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. He was born on February 5, 1953 in Kirkwood, Missouri. Schroeder began his racing career in the mid-1970s, competing in the IMSA GT Championship and the SCCA Trans-Am Series. He won the Trans-Am Series championship in 1985 and was runner-up in 1986. In 1988, Schroeder made his debut in the CART Championship Series, driving for Dick Simon Racing. He won his first race in 1989 at the Michigan 500 and went on to win two more races in the series. He finished in the top 10 in points in four of his five seasons in CART. In 1993, Schroeder made the move to NASCAR, driving for Junior Johnson & Associates. He competed in the Winston Cup Series for five seasons, with a best finish of fourth in the 1995 Daytona 500. He retired from racing in 1998. Today, Schroeder is a racing analyst for Speed Channel and ESPN. He is also a driving instructor at the Richard Petty Driving Experience. He is married to former CART driver Lyn St. James.

He was also known as a NASCAR "road course ringer", who made nine Winston Cup series starts between 1991 and 2001.

Dorsey was a successful sports car driver throughout the 1990s in the Trans-Am series, winning the championship with Roush Racing as a rookie in 1989 with six wins. In 1990, he was named IMSA GT Championship GTO class champion with three wins. Between 1998 and 2002, he also competed in Grand-Am and American Le Mans series events, recording a win at Mid-Ohio in 1998 for Dyson Racing. In recent years, Schroeder has competed in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship races at Daytona and Sebring in the Prototype class.

Schroeder competed in IROC in 1990 representing the SCCA Trans-Am Series and 1991 representing IMSA Camel GT. He finished 7th in IROC XIV and 12th in IROC XV.
