Devendra Singh is an Indian politician who is currently serving as the Member of Parliament in the 17th Lok Sabha from the Auraiya constituency in Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Devendra Singh was born on 2 April 1954 in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Allahabad in 1975. Devendra Singh has been actively involved in politics since the 1980s. He was first elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1989 from the Auraiya constituency. He was re-elected in 1991, 1993, 1996, 2002, 2007 and 2012. He was also a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council from 1996 to 2002. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Devendra Singh was elected as the Member of Parliament from the Auraiya constituency. He was re-elected in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Devendra Singh is married to Smt. Uma Singh and the couple has two sons. He is an avid reader and enjoys playing cricket.
