David Faber is an American financial journalist and author. He is the co-anchor of CNBC's Squawk on the Street and the host of CNBC's Faber Report. He is also the author of several books, including And Then the Roof Caved In: How Wall Street's Greed and Stupidity Brought Capitalism to Its Knees. Faber was born on March 10, 1964 in New York City. He graduated from Cornell University in 1986 with a degree in government. After college, he worked as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal and then as a producer for CNBC. Faber has been a financial journalist for more than 25 years. He has interviewed some of the most influential people in business, including Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and Steve Jobs. He has also written several books, including The Faber Report: How Wall Street Really Works and What You Need to Know to Make Money. Faber is married to his wife, Karen, and they have two children. He is an avid golfer and enjoys playing tennis.
