She began her career in the entertainment industry in the late 1970s, working as a casting assistant on the television series The White Shadow. She then moved on to casting director roles on shows such as The West Wing, The Practice, and The Shield. Bish has been nominated for two Emmy Awards for her work on The West Wing and The Practice. She has also been nominated for a Casting Society of America Artios Award for her work on The Shield. Bish is married to actor and director John Bish. They have two children.
