Charles Anthony is an American actor and singer who has been active in the entertainment industry since the 1950s. He is best known for his roles in the Broadway musicals South Pacific and The King and I, as well as for his performances in the films The Godfather and The Godfather Part II. Anthony was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on July 15, 1929. He began his career as a singer, performing in nightclubs and on the radio. He made his Broadway debut in the musical South Pacific in 1949, and went on to appear in several other Broadway productions, including The King and I, The Most Happy Fella, and The Sound of Music. In 1972, Anthony made his film debut in The Godfather, playing the role of Carlo Rizzi. He reprised the role in The Godfather Part II in 1974. He also appeared in the films The Godfather Part III (1990) and The Godfather Part IV (1992). Anthony has also appeared in numerous television shows, including The Twilight Zone, The Untouchables, and The Rockford Files. Anthony has been married twice, first to actress and singer Jo Sullivan, and then to actress and singer Joanne Worley. He has two children from his first marriage.
