Bob Willis is a British producer and director who has worked on a variety of television shows, films, and documentaries. He is best known for his work on the BBC series Doctor Who, which he produced from 1985 to 1989. He has also produced and directed a number of other television shows, including The Bill, EastEnders, and Casualty. Willis was born in Sunderland, Durham, England, and attended the University of Manchester, where he studied drama and film. After graduating, he began working in television, first as a production assistant and then as a producer. He worked on a number of shows, including the BBC's Play for Today and the ITV series The Bill. In 1985, Willis was appointed as the producer of Doctor Who, a role he held until 1989.
