Bert de Jong is a Dutch rally driver who was born in 1956. He is best known for his success in the European Rally Championship, where he won the title in 1985 and 1986. He also competed in the World Rally Championship, where he achieved a best result of fourth place in the 1985 Rallye Sanremo. De Jong began his career in rallying in the early 1980s, competing in the Dutch Rally Championship. He made his debut in the European Rally Championship in 1983, and achieved his first podium finish in 1984. He went on to win the championship in 1985 and 1986, becoming the first Dutch driver to do so. De Jong has also competed in the World Rally Championship, with his best result being fourth place in the 1985 Rallye Sanremo. He has also competed in the Dakar Rally, finishing in the top 10 in 1985 and 1986. De Jong is married to his wife, Marijke, and they have two children. He currently lives in the Netherlands.
