Arun Kumar Ahuja was an Indian film actor who was active in the Hindi film industry from the 1940s to the 1970s. He was born on 17 January 1917 in Gujranwala, Punjab, British India. He was the son of a wealthy businessman. He made his debut in the film industry in the 1940s with the film 'Chand'. He went on to act in over 100 films in his career. He was known for his roles in films such as 'Amar', 'Awaara', 'Anarkali', 'Barsaat', 'Shree 420', 'Chori Chori', 'Jagte Raho', 'Pyaasa', 'Kaagaz Ke Phool', 'Ganga Jamuna', 'Teesri Kasam', 'Kashmir Ki Kali', 'Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai', 'An Evening in Paris', 'Teesri Manzil', 'Padosan', 'Mera Naam Joker', 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna', 'Chhalia', 'Kati Patang', 'Raja Jani', 'Heer Ranjha', 'Johny Mera Naam' and 'Kabhi Kabhie'. He was married to actress Nimmi and had two sons, Arvind and Ajit. He passed away on 5 April 1992 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Arun was a very successful actor and had a net worth of $10 million at the time of his death. He earned most of his wealth from his acting career. He was also a successful producer and director. He produced and directed the film 'Chhalia' in 1960.
