Art Babbitt was an American animator, director, and voice actor. He is best known for his work on the classic Disney animated films Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and Fantasia. He was also the creator of the character Goofy. Babbitt was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and began his career in animation in 1927. He worked for several animation studios before joining the Walt Disney Company in 1934. He was an important part of the Disney animation team, and was responsible for creating the character of Goofy. He also worked on several other classic Disney films, including Dumbo, Bambi, and Cinderella. Babbitt died in 1992 at the age of 84.
