Armando Trovajoli was an Italian composer, pianist, and conductor. He was born in Rome on 2 September 1917 and died on 28 February 2013. He composed music for over 200 films and television series, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song for the song "Se Telefonando" from the 1966 film "A Man and a Woman". He was also a prolific composer of popular music, writing over 500 songs. He was a member of the Italian Academy of Music and the Italian Academy of Arts. He was also a recipient of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
