Anji Hunter is a PR advisor and former political advisor to the British Prime Minister Tony Blair. She was born in 1955 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and moved to the United Kingdom in the late 1960s. Anji Hunter attended the University of Sussex, where she studied politics and international relations. After graduating, she worked as a political advisor to the Labour Party, and then as a special advisor to Tony Blair when he was Prime Minister. Anji Hunter is currently the CEO of Anji Hunter Associates, a PR and communications consultancy. She is also a board member of the British Council, a trustee of the British Museum, and a member of the advisory board of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. Anji Hunter is married to the British journalist and broadcaster, Andrew Marr. They have two children together. Anji Hunter's net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.

In 2013 Hunter joined the international public relations and marketing consultancy Edelman to advise clients on corporate reputation, crisis management and public affairs, as well as helping promote senior women in business.

2002

In 2002 The Mail on Sunday and The Daily Telegraph published reports about a relationship between Hunter and the political editor of Sky News Adam Boulton, while she was still working at Downing Street. Cornwall and Hunter divorced following the revelation. Hunter married Adam Boulton in 2006.

In 2001 she left Downing Street to become Director of Communications at the oil and gas company BP in 2002. In 2009 she was appointed Director of External Affairs for Anglo American plc.
