Alla Pokrovskaya is a Russian actress who has appeared in numerous films and television series. She is best known for her roles in the films The Irony of Fate (1975), The Irony of Fate 2 (2007), and The Irony of Fate: Continuation (2007). Pokrovskaya was born on 18 September 1937 in Moscow, RSFSR, USSR. She graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School in 1959. She has appeared in over 50 films and television series since her debut in 1960. Pokrovskaya has been married twice. Her first marriage was to actor Aleksandr Kalyagin, with whom she had a daughter, actress Yuliya Kalyagina. Her second marriage was to actor Aleksandr Abdulov, with whom she had a son, actor Aleksandr Abdulov Jr. Pokrovskaya has won numerous awards for her acting, including the State Prize of the Russian Federation in 2000 and the Order of Friendship in 2006. She has also been nominated for the Nika Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in The Irony of Fate 2.
