Vikander previously resided in North London. In late 2014, she began a relationship with actor Michael Fassbender; they made their first public appearance together at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards ceremony, where Vikander was nominated twice—for her roles in The Danish Girl (2015) and Ex Machina (2015).
