Aaron Coady is an American recording artist, songwriter, and producer. He is best known for his work with the band The Used, which he co-founded in 2001. He has also released two solo albums, "The Art of Losing" (2006) and "The Art of Letting Go" (2009). Coady was born in Newton, Iowa, and grew up in Orem, Utah. He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and started writing songs shortly thereafter. He attended Utah Valley University, where he studied music theory and composition. In 2001, Coady co-founded the band The Used with Bert McCracken and Quinn Allman. The band released their debut album, "The Used," in 2002, and it went on to become a platinum-selling album. The band has since released five more albums, with Coady writing and producing on all of them. In 2006, Coady released his first solo album, "The Art of Losing," which featured a mix of acoustic and electronic music. He followed this up with "The Art of Letting Go" in 2009. Coady has also produced and written for other artists, including the band Saosin, as well as the singer-songwriter Ryan Adams. He has also collaborated with the producer and songwriter John Feldmann. Coady currently lives in Los Angeles, California. He is married and has two children.
